Hoon Kim

Vice President, Finance

Experience:

Hoon Kim started his career in public accounting, working for a local firm in Glendale, CA. Upon receiving his CPA license, Hoon went to work for KPMG LLP, an international CPA firm regarded as one of the “Big Four” accounting firms. After working in public accounting for five years, he went to work for one of KPMG’s clients. Hoon has worked in the private industry for over 20 years, serving in different roles ranging from Controller to VP of Finance. He has extensive experience in middle market companies with revenues ranging from $40 million to $600 million dollars, specializing in distribution and manufacturing. Hoon employs a teaching environment whereby his team is taught accounting principles so that they all train to be analytical thinkers. He joined Regency in May of 2007 as our Controller and was promoted to his current position as Vice President of Finance in February of 2010.

Bachelor of Science, Economics from UCLA; CPA License issued in 1997

Personal:

Hoon and his wife, Mae, have been together over 30 years and are the proud parents of their son, Evan. Hoon enjoys hiking, watching baseball and movies, and most importantly, watching his son grow up.
